What to Expect During Your Spray Tan Appointment
Your spray tan appointment is quick, comfortable, and fully guided from start to finish. We begin with a short consultation to choose the right shade and formula based on your skin tone, undertone, schedule, and desired level of colour.
The application itself takes about 10 to 15 minutes. You will leave with immediate cosmetic colour, and your tan will continue developing over the next 8 to 12 hours depending on the solution selected.
Most spray tans last about 7 to 10 days with proper prep and aftercare.
How to Prepare for Your Spray Tan
For the smoothest, most even result:
• Exfoliate 24 to 48 hours before your appointment
• Shave or get sugared at least 24 hours beforehand
• Avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup, and perfume on the day of your appointment
• Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment
• Make sure your skin is clean and fully dry before your tan
These steps help the solution adhere evenly and improve how your tan develops.

Salt water and chlorine can cause a spray tan to fade faster. Rinse your skin with fresh water before swimming, limit time in the water, and rinse off immediately after. Gently pat dry and moisturize as soon as possible. Avoid rubbing, exfoliating, or long hot showers. Booking your tan close to your trip helps keep your colour fresh while swimming.

A spray tan safe sunscreen is a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects your skin from UV damage without causing your tan to fade prematurely. Look for formulas that are mineral based (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide), free of strong chemical sunscreens and fragrances, and non drying. These protect from both UVA and UVB rays while being gentle on your tan. Apply sunscreen generously and reapply often when spending time in the sun or near water to protect both your skin and your spray tan glow.

It is best to wait until your spray tan has fully faded before waxing or sugaring, as these methods remove hair from the root and will also remove your tan. If you need to shave, wait at least twenty four to forty eight hours after your spray tan has developed, and shave gently using a sharp razor and a hydrating, tan safe product. Keep in mind that any form of hair removal will cause some fading, so shaving lightly is the best option if you want to maintain your colour.
